Evelin Oliveira, 19, won the Carnival Queen contest 

Nursing student Evelin Oliveira, 19, won the Carnival Queen contest in Salvador 2018. The event also selected the princesses of the party and was held on Thursday night (1st) at the Fiesta Bahia Hotel in the neighborhood of Itaigara, in the state capital of Bahia. In all, 12 candidates disputed the reign of the Bahian folia. The finalists of the contest were chosen in a selective preview, which took place on Saturday (27), and gathered 45 women enrolled. Evelin Oliveira, the carnival queen, is from the city of Serrinha, about 170 km from Salvador. She is 1.72m and weighs 66kg. The prize for the carnival queen was R $ 6 thousand and a ticket to Europe. The princesses earned R $ 3 thousand and 2 thousand, respectively. The selected princesses were Juliana Santana and Juliana da Silva. Both are from Salvador. Juliana Santana, 21 years, is a law student and model. The young woman is 1.74m, weighs 70kg and lives in the neighborhood of Pituba. Juliana da Silva, 30, is advertising and lives on Acupe de Brotas. She is 1.70m and weighs 60kg.
