Lindsay Lohan from Jail to Playboy for Mean Girls Actress

Lindsay Lohan rose to fame as a teen actress, but is now more famous for her turbulent life and legal woes. Fresh out of jail, Lohan will appear in Playboy.

Lindsay Lohan may be more famous for her lifestyle and legal woes than as an actress. Lohan served approximately four hours of a 30 day sentence and was released from jail on November 7, 2011. Now that she is out of jail, the big news is that Lohan posed for Playboy, in the magazine issue being released before the end of the year.

Lindsay Lohan Jail and Probation

Lindsay Lohan has struggled with the requirements of probation on her 2007 DUI conviction. While still on probation, the wayward actress entered a guilty plea on the charge of stealing a diamond necklace and was sentenced to probation, counseling and community service. Unfortunately, Lohan seemed not to take the probation terms seriously because she got sloppy about adhering to the terms of her probation and ended up back in court.

Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lohan to 30 days in jail in a hearing on November 2, 2011, which was televised live on HLN cable television. The 30 day sentence was a portion of a total 300 day sentence, which Lohan will have to serve if she does not adhere to the judge's detailed requirements for community service and counseling.. The Women's Community Center did not want Lohan back because she set a bad example for the women, according to the judge. Lohan will serve her community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue.

Lohan's 30 day sentence was reduced to four hours, due to overcrowding in the jail system. Lohan is not considered a violent offender, so her actual time served was minimal. This was Lohan's fifth jail sentence since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan and Playboy

Lohan posed for Playboy before her recent jail sentence. The December/January issue featuring Lohan, in classic Marilyn Monroe style poses, will be released by the end of the year. Hugh Hefner rejected the first photos because they were not the style he wanted and a second photo shoot was required by Hefner. Whoopi Goldberg, a friend of Hugh Hefner's, said that Hefner called the photo shoot classy, when the subject was discussed on The View on November 8, 2011.

The Playboy spread is not Lohan's first experience in posing nude. The actress posed as Marilyn Monroe in a photo shoot for the New York Magazine in 2008. Lohan and photographer Bert Stern revisited a photo shoot that Stern conducted with Marilyn Monroe at the famed Bel Aire Hotel in Beverly Hills in 1962. Lohan was able to capture the Marilyn Monroe poses, but she lacked the soft vulnerability and sexuality of the Hollywood icon. Marilyn Monroe died just six weeks after the original photo shoot

Lindsay Lohan Movie Career

Lindsay Lohan is best known for the movies Parent Trap (1998), Freaky Friday (2004) and Mean Girls (2006). The actress also appeared in The Prairie Home Companion (2006) and Georgia Rules (2007).

Lohan was set to star in a film about 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace, but lost out on the project. She was announced to appear in Gotti, a film about gangster John Gotti starring John Travolta, but the project is reportedly stalled due to lack of financing.
